OASIS: Parent, caregiver and professional training

The Online and Applied Systems of Intervention Skills, or OASIS, training program is designed to teach parents, educators, and therapists how to use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with children with autism spectrum disorder and other disabilities.

LEND: Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities training

Leadership Education in Neurodevelopment and Related Disabilities (LEND) training is a leadership development program for people from a variety of professional and personal backgrounds in developmental disability. It is housed at the Center for Child Health and Development at the KU Medical Center. 

The Global Autism Interactive Network (GAIN)

The Global Autism Interactive Network (GAIN) supports clinicians, educators, and other professionals who work with individuals who are or may be on the autism spectrum. Through a mix of online and in-person formats, the program provides specialized training in the use of gold-standard autism diagnostic tools, including the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2) and the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R). More than 2000 people across the United States and in several countries have been trained through GAIN since it was first established at the University of Missouri in 2019. GAIN offers tiered professional development opportunities, including monthly interactive sessions, coding reliability training, and advanced workshops. They are designed to support professionals at every level—from those new to autism assessment to seasoned clinicians seeking to deepen their expertise.

Autism Across the Lifespan Conference

Autism Across the Life Span is a one-day conference that brings together researchers, educators, students, providers, and autistic people and their families. The event is offered at the University of Kansas Edwards Campus every two years, with the next conference in spring 2027.
